"Hey, I’m Simon — a scientist, explorer of plants, and a bit of a natural products nerd (in the best way). I’ve spent my career researching and creating skincare and personal care products rooted in Pharmacognosy — basically, the science of how plants and natural materials can help us live better, healthier lives.

Right now feels like an amazing time to be doing this work. We’re in a new era — a real golden age for natural products — and I’m here for it. My mission is to make the science behind natural products something that everyone can access and get excited about, not just academics or industry insiders.

The roots of what I do go way back — to Shamanism, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, African and Tibetan healing practices — all these incredible systems that have been passed down for generations. My goal is to honor that legacy while using today’s tools — research, tech, education — to keep the knowledge alive and evolving. Natural products are for everyone, and I’m here to help make that happen."

In 2024, I was honored to be named one of the Top 100 Innovators in the Beauty Industry by Vogue Business — a real career milestone and something I'm incredibly grateful for.

In 2022, we were over the moon to take home not one, not two, but six awards at the Beauty Shortlist Awards! We were named Best Skincare Brand, plus we picked up wins for Best Multi-Purpose Product, Best Deodorant Spray, Best Cleansing Balm, Best Desert Island Product, and our Recovery Cream received an Editor’s Choice Award.

The year before, in 2021, we were thrilled to scoop up two big wins from CEW: Best New Natural Company and Best New Product in the Prestige Sector for our Modern Botany line. And in 2019, we proudly accepted the Image Award for Most Innovative Company and the Women's Health UK Award for Best Personal Care Product.

Our natural deodorant has had its moment too — back in 2018, we were a finalist for Best Body Miracle at the Stella Telegraph UK Awards and picked up Best Beauty Award for Natural Deodorant from Tatler. And in 2017, our Universal Oil was named Best Body Product by Image Magazine Ireland.

Even internationally, we've been recognized: in 2015, we were nominated for Best New Natural Spa Product at the Asia Spa Awards for our Dr. Jackson’s line, and in 2014, we won Best New Multi-Use Product from Style Magazine UK.

Every award, every nomination — it’s such a reminder of why I do what I do. I’m incredibly grateful for all the support, and it inspires me to keep innovating, growing, and making natural products that people genuinely love and trust."

"I'm all about natural products — always have been! I love digging into the science behind plants, exploring their health benefits, and figuring out how we can use them in better, smarter ways. Traditional medicine from all over the world really inspires me too — African, Chinese, Ayurvedic, European herbalism — there’s so much incredible knowledge out there.

I’m a big fan of anything that helps us feel better from the inside out, so cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals are right up my street. It’s like mixing science and nature in a way that actually makes a difference to people’s lives.

And honestly, I just care a lot about the planet. We’ve only got one, right? Whether it’s using natural resources more sustainably or supporting conservation projects, I’m always trying to do my bit to leave things better than I found them."
